Thanks to Peter Stevens for pointing this video out to me. I’d not seen it before, and it raised a smile. Those of an impatient disposition might want to skip to 2 minutes in to the video. It’s only 4 minutes long in total and is worth watching in full. Although you might find yourself unable to shake the tune and words as I am.

Great thanks… you’ve got my wife singing “Aubergine” now
Excellent. Mission accomplished!
wow. that bit about “blue’s been done, and brown’s a bore” bit sounds like it was written just for Ubuntu…
Ha! That is awesome!
ROFL! You have a good sense of humour
I remember seeing this on Canadian television back in the day. Everyone thought it was ridiculous that they paid to put this on the air. It was like a commercial, but it was five minutes long. Everyone just wanted their show to return and no one was prepared to pay attention that long.
I had totally forgot about it, and that it mentioned aubergine.
I actually thought about this commercial when I first heard Ubuntu was going aubergine. I live in Toronto where Eaton’s is head quartered and I remember it well. They even mention in the song how blue’s been done and brown’s a bore… how ironic
Hi-larious.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
What more can be said?
