Beryl -

Beryl is not a requirement of Ubuntu; as cool as beryl can be, most people will never need it, or even really use the parts that make computing better. I don't think it's really fair to ask someone reviewing Ubuntu to include the trials and tribulations of Beryl installation. Of course, if Ubuntu includes it as the default window manager, you've got a pretty good case, but they didn't just a couple versions ago (6.06 lts on my server upstairs)
