Lots of noise obstructs help!
I have recently down loaded the latest version of UBUNTU. All has gone reasonably well until the system tells me that there is a new update. I try and down load the update as I did this morning and back it comes with a load of stuff that means has much has a brick wall to me. It says error 3 plus other non informative info and says it will not load the down load system not upgraded.What good is this?
I ran Ubuntu for about 18 months with the prior system with little or no trouble. I have sent questions to FAQ's but never found any replies. There is loads of junk to read through such that it makes the struggle just not worth the energy. All I need is a simple system that will pick up on the key words and inform me in every day terms( no program talk I only operate the system I do not know how to mess around with it) If I cannot find assistance with out having to wade through reams of wordy stuff with loads of groups of letters that mean nothing to me then the system is of no use to me. I would be sorry to have to go back to using W.....s but if needs must I will. Dennis
