In a previous blog post I mentioned how much I like Linux. Well I thought I'd make a list of the Free and Open Source applications I happen to use on Linux. Maybe this will help someone later on who is looking for a replacement for a proprietary application they use.

What sort of alternatives are there to the following?

RDP/Terminal Services Client / VNC etc...
Media Player? (are things like Winamp ported?)...
Paint Shop Pro / Photoshop etc...
Nero / Disk burning software...
Adobe Premier (video capture / editing)...

What sort of AntiVirus/Firewall packages are available?
